Overview

Brydell is a private real estate investment firm focused on the UK. We seek assets where we can drive value by transforming space and service.

We are long term owners of property and believe that putting our tenants first delivers the most optimum results. Our goal is to create functionable and inspiring spaces so that our customers can focus on growing their businesses.

The firm was established in 2014 and the founders have worked together since 2010.

Brydell invests its own capital alongside managed discretionary funds, raised from global institutional LPs. Currently investing Brydell Partners Series 3. The firm has £510m of equity under management.

Our portfolio includes labs, retirement living, student accommodation, retail warehousing, offices and industrial.

Who We Are

The business is wholly owned by the team who are strongly aligned to the performance of the funds. We are vertically integrated with a cultural emphasis on hard work and entrepreneurialism.

Ryan has worked at Brydell since 2014 having started as an Intern.

Ryan holds a MSc in Real Estate Finance from the University of Reading.

Prior to Brydell, Jamie worked for 6 months at Blackoak Capital as an Analyst in Perth, Australia.

Jamie holds a MMath Mathematics from the University of Bath.

Sam joined Brydell in June 2022.

Prior to Brydell, Sam spent over 6 years working in the luxury hospitality industry at The Ritz London, Ham Yard Hotel and The Ivy.

AJ Dawes Chief Financial Officer

AJ joined Brydell in 2023.

Prior to Brydell, AJ worked for 10 years at Brookfield Asset Management, holding several senior finance roles in Real Estate and Infrastructure. Before joining Brookfield, AJ qualified as a chartered accountant at Deloitte, working in their Real Estate audit and advisory business in London.

AJ holds an BA (Hons) in Economics from the University of Nottingham and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Charlie co-founded Brydell Partners in 2014.

Prior to Brydell, Charlie worked at Brockton Capital as Junior Partner and at Goldman Sachs in the Real Estate merchant banking division. Charlie holds a BA (Hons) in Land Economy from the University of Cambridge.

Gina joined Brydell in 2023.

Prior to Brydell, Gina spent the last 9 years in Real Estate accounting, practising for 4 years in Sydney, Australia & the last 5 years in London. Gina has worked for companies such as EY, Student Cribs and LGIM.

Gina holds a BBus with an accounting major from the University of Technology Sydney and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Dan co-founded Brydell Partners in 2014.

Prior to Brydell, Dan worked for 5 years at Brockton Capital as a Principal and 2 years at Watson Wyatt in Real Estate fund selection.

Dan holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Durham.

Yasmin Khan-Osborne Analyst
Yasmin Khan-Osborne Analyst

Yasmin joined Brydell Partners as an Analyst in 2022.

Yasmin holds an MPhil in Real Estate Finance from the University of Cambridge. Prior to this she obtained her undergraduate degree in Architecture, also from the University of Cambridge, and gained two years architectural experience with a focus on Central London, heritage architecture for developers and owner-occupiers.

Rob Lucas Chairman
Rob Lucas Chairman

Rob is Managing Partner of CVC, the global investment firm and oversees CVC’s activities in the UK.

He joined CVC in 1996 and is a member of CVC’s Europe and Americas Investment Committee and the Strategic Opportunities Investment Committee.

In 2015 Rob served as the Chairman of the British Venture Capital Association and climbed to the summit of Mount Everest in 2016.

Jeff joined Brydell Partners in 2020 as an Analyst.

He holds an MSc in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School and a BA from Johns Hopkins University.

Andy is Chairman of journey, a BPS2 investment focused on knowledge economy real estate.

Andy is currently Senior Advisor to Hodes Weil, Stifel and Placemake.io.

Formerly, he was CEO of BNP Paribas Real Estate and Senior Partner of Strutt & Partner.

Prior to Brydell, Rich spent 7 years at Revcap and 3.5 years at JLL.

Richard holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Durham.

Richard Mully Advisor

Richard is currently the Chairman of Great Portland Estate plc, Vice Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Alstria Office REIT-AG and Senior Advisor to TPG Real Estate.

He has acted as Senior Independent Director of Hansteen Holdings PLC, St Modwen Properties PLC (both FTSE250) and ISG plc.

Previously, Richard was a principal real estate investor most prominently as the Co-founder and Managing Partner of Soros Real Estate Partners and Grove International Partners.

Vernon joined Brydell Partners in 2014. As the Development Director at Bride Hall Group since 1989, Vernon has been responsible for the delivery of over five million square feet of commercial space.

Vernon holds a BSC degree in quantity surveying and is a chartered quantity surveyor.

Prior to Brydell, Nico worked for 9 years at Workspace Group Plc focused on investment and asset management.

David Seddon joined Brydell Partners in 2015.

Prior to Brydell, David worked for 6 years at Bruntwood Estates and 3 years at Hudson / Lonestar and Invesco Real Estate.

David holds a BSc (Hons) in Business & Financial Economics and an MSc in Commercial Property Management.

Alistair joined Brydell in 2024.

Alistair’s experience includes 10 years as a Managing Director at Stanhope leading the transformation of c. 3.5m sqft at Television Centre and White City Place mixed use campus. Prior to Stanhope, Alistair was Chief Development Officer at Battersea Power Station.

Alistair is highly experienced at leading multi-functional professional teams to deliver market leading development and regeneration and reimagination projects. He has a particular interest in place-making and the successful integration of a vibrant mix of uses.

Christian joined Brydell in 2023.

Prior to Brydell, Christian spent five years at Castleforge, leading acquisitions and business development across asset-backed operational strategies. Prior to Castleforge, Christian held positions at Brunswick Property Partners (now Feldberg Capital) and FORE Partnership, focused on value-add investment opportunities across the UK and Northern Europe.

Christian holds a BA (Hons) in Mathematics and Statistics from the University of Oxford and is a CAIA charterholder.

We are long term owners of real estate with flexibility around time horizon and risk-return profile when sourcing new investments. We are principally direct owners of buildings, however we will also selectively enter into joint ventures or provide bespoke debt solutions.

journey is a property company focused on delivering flexible and fitted spaces in the UK’s key knowledge economies

journey owns 20 assets with repurposing and development potential in Oxford and Cambridge. It is seeking new opportunities in the key science clusters to grow its integrated network of spaces. The operational portfolio will include lab, incubator, R&D, workspace, event space and supporting amenities including residences.
